Henry & Co Home Fragrance operates as an e-commerce store stocking handmade candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, aroma oils and much more. In their time being open, they have navigated many paths and of course, faced a turbulent time during the global pandemic.
When Henry & Co retail stores had no other option than to close and the lockdown was in full swing, it gave the owners the time and space they needed away from the retail business to progress on a dream they had for many years, to create their own brand of home fragrance products.
Whilst their products were taking off well in the retail/wholesale world, their
online marketing attempts were struggling after many different attempts with in-house and agency but unfortunately, they
were struggling to cover the costs with the lack of sales.
When we first connected with Henry & Co the wholesale side of their business was supporting their online portfolio as they had no organic rankings on Google therefore very little website traffic.
The few sales they were making did not cover the costs of running the online business, so they were
struggling to maintain their online e-commerce store. In addition, Henry & Co had
very little brand awareness
to build brand trust or a loyal customer base.
In an attempt to solve the online struggles they were experiencing, they trusted two different agencies who promised to deliver results that would help to achieve their goals but unfortunately did not deliver. In doing so, they
spent over £10,000 on paid ads and shockingly received
no return on investment (ROI).
Following this, they took their marketing efforts elsewhere and trusted that in-house marketing attempts could be more successful, however after an extended period they were also
let down by the in-house marketing attempts
overpromising and underdelivering on their services.
As an e-commerce store, Henry & Co already had an established online store on Shopify therefore we worked on implementing SEO and CRO to improve their organic rankings and purchases.
Additionally, we have
redesigned their whole inbound email marketing strategy
to improve communication with customers and improve the percentage of repeat purchases.
We are currently implementing stage two of their marketing as we have
taken on accountability for their entire digital platform and digital strategy.
Once implemented, Henry & Co will have a rocketing online platform ready for 2024 with a whole new set of fresh ideas in place to tackle all the key e-commerce dates throughout the year.
